really no time to blog coz i'm quite occupied with early sleep and the olympic games of course...

080808 beijing olympic games opening ceremony... it was a bang, seriously... never thought that the show would be so astounding, though i expected some standard coz zhang yimou was in charge of the program... probably the first and last of its kind coz of china's huge availability of manpower for the mass display performances...the fireworks were spectacular...

240808 beijing olympic games closing ceremony... expected to be as exceptional as the opening, and it did not disappoint... the whole show was dynamic, and the fireworks used were very suitable for the occasion... should have been there, not becoz of stupid ns where i get myself stuck here......

090808 ndp08: quite a nice show, though i wouldn't say that it's the best so far... i feel that it was at least one of the better ones as compared to 2005... the show segment was rather dynamic... the fireworks could have been better, although it's better as they were all concentrated on one point rather than like everywhere around marina bay last year... the final rendition of the theme song was quite refreshing as the genre of the original song is different from the show segment one... overall quite a good show... parade segment got rain, but then president still inspected the contingents without umbrella... i think they don't want to repeat what happened a few times before which caused something bad to happen...

230808 singapore fireworks celebrations 2008: actually 22 aug got fireworks choreographed by spain, but didn't catch it... it's a friday after all, too tired to actually go there and watch... saturday got rain, luckily very slight rain... but the fireworks display got delayed for about 15 mins... quite stupid for people to actually pay for tickets to sit at the floating platform gallery, though got better view... got a glimpse of the fireworks just beside the floating platform where u no need to pay, actually got quite a good view... korean fantasia, with the fireworks choreographed with music from various korean dramas... quite weird coz the music and the fireworks 有一点不搭... but the fireworks alone were quite amazing... many different types of fireworks, with quite a lot of the high and middle level fireworks... not bad for korean standard...

with so many events these few weeks, i can't wait for the f1 night race next month...dunno whether got any performances or even fireworks... after all it's the inaugural night race, first of its kind...
